Covid 19 Sharing Joints Not Germs

A joint is something that has tobacco mixed with cannabis and is often shared among the cannabis community. With the serious threat of Covid-19 spreading throughout the world, it has become everyone’s responsibility to safely use smoking products, be them bongs, hookah, joints, etc. In this post, we shall talk about some precautionary measures to help you prevent spreading germs while sharing joints. Before we tell you our precautionary measures, let’s tell you how Covid-19 can get disseminated.

How Can Coronavirus Spread?

  • If people are in close contact, they can spread germs and become victims of Covid-19.
  • If you cough or sneeze, the respiratory droplets produced from your mouth and transferred to others can be a cause of Covid-19.
  • You can also be exposed to Covid-19 if you touch a surface having a virus on it.

Is Sharing Joints the Right Thing to Do?

Sharing joints with your fellow cannabis users is never a good option in the current pandemic. Yes, as a weed user, you would love to share your joints; however, we recommend that you do not go for it. If you want to have a smoking session with your fellow smokers, you should make sure you don’t plan for it. You should make it the norm. So, before you light up your joint, you should announce your intention. If you hear other smokers supporting you, you should encourage this behaviour.

Can’t You Smoke on Your Own?

Yes, this is a common issue with some smokers; however, they can avoid it if they have a good plan for preventing this behaviour. Keeping the following points in your mind can help you prevent from spreading the germs while sharing joints:

  • Ask your fellow smokers to bring their own dab rig.
  • Keep a handy torch for all fellow smokers on their tables.
  • Let your fellow smokers enjoy the session by making sure each of them sits at a distance of 6 feet (ft).

Making a Chamber with Hands:

One of the optimal methods of sharing a joint is that you make a chamber with your hands. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Put the unlit end of a joint between the middle and ring finger where your hands and fingers meet.
  2. Bend both hands into a ‘C’ shape.
  3. Bring your hands together, leaving space between your palms and an opening with your thumbs.
  4. Cover your lips around the thumb hole and suck with a hand chamber.

In some situations, you can’t bear to smoke the joint all by yourself; specifically, if everyone wants to share a single joint; the following points can help you reduce the risk of spreading germs:

  • Keep business cards for yourself and your fellow smokers to roll them into a tube that can be wrapped around the joint and easy to inhale through.
  • You can use glassblowers to share joints as glass is easy to sanitize.
  • Use silicone straws that come in different shapes and sizes, making them convenient to slip into a dab rig. However, make sure to keep your lips off the rig or marijuana cigarette.

Conclusion:

Last of all: Covid-19 is a serious threat to the whole world, and as a joint user, it may be hard for you to smoke marijuana cigarettes alone; however, if you follow some precautions, you can enjoy a sterile smoking session with your fellow cannabis users.
